wedding checklist - preparing for your wedding

The definition of a classic gift can be very different when relating to different individuals. The Catholic Church puts forth their own requirements for a marriage to be recognized in the eyes of the church.

One inexpensive gift idea is to fill a mixing bowl with a variety of kitchen utensils. Since the maid of honor is probably one of the bride's closest friends it stands to reason that the maid of honor is the ideal candidate to host a few gatherings. It is important to establish a budget for flowers before you meet with potential florists for your wedding.

A recipe box with plenty of recipes for every occasion is another great clever, but yet classic, gift for a young couple just beginning their lives together. Be sure to contact each reference that is supplied to you and ask them pertinent questions about the wedding planner's professionalism, attitude, punctuality or anything else that is important to you. You could give a journal and fancy pen to the groomsman who likes to write and an assortment of dance CDs to the groomsman who enjoys going to nightclubs and dancing.

However, when planning a bridal shower the hostess is free to choose whatever menu she wishes. When sending out bridal shower invitations, be sure to include all of the vital information.
